Kansas City Royals Fielding Fall Scout Team for 2011-12 Players

royals_logoThe Kansas City Royals will be fielding an underclass fall scout team this coming fall. The team will consist of 2011 and 2012 graduates.  It will include players from Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Montana, and Western Canada.  The goal of fielding this team will be for Area Scouts to get to know the players on a personal level and for exposure to college programs on the West Coast.

Fall games will be played against Baseball Northwest teams and against the Seattle Mariners Scout Team. Baseball Northwest will recommend players to the Royals for invitation consideration and those players chosen for this team will still be able to participate in BBNW fall activities, games, and be encouraged to participate in any BBNW tournament teams and showcases.

Notifications to invitees will be sent throughout the spring and summer. For those picked to participate, there will be no fees, and uniforms and equipment will be provided.  Transportation will be the player’s only responsibility.  The team will be coached by Royals staff and managed by KC Northwest Area Supervisor Scott Ramsay.
