bbnw_logoBaseball Northwest’s annual Pre-Draft Workout will be Monday, May 25th at Mt Hood Community College in Gresham, Or. at 2 pm.

The invitation only event will include Northwest college and high school players selected by the Baseball Northwest staff as potential candidates that are eligible for the major league draft on June 9th and 10th.  The workout will include: players timed in the 60 yard run, infield and outfield, batting practice, and a live scrimmage.

The workout is designed for professional scouts to see:

• New players not already observed
• Observe injured players who have not played yet this spring
• Observe players that have not been playing college or high school baseball this season because of eligibility
• See players swing “wood” bats for evaluation
• A timed 60 yard run
• Players working out at positions not played in high school or college
• Access to players for interviews and eye testing
• Height and weight measurements
• Players will be video taped for BBNW evaluation and analysis and be provided to major league teams on request

There is no player fee for this event—it is done by BBNW as a service to the players of the Northwest.

Workout highlights will appear on the baseballnorthwest.com blog. Rely on Baseball Northwest to provide the best in unique services for Northwest players, coaches, and scouts.
