Kyrell Hudson Drafted by Phillies in Day One of Draft

kyrell-hudson3Baseball Northwest alumni Kyrell Hudson of Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Wa. was the first Northwest player selected in the 2009 Major League Baseball college and high school draft. The outfielder was selected by the Philadephia Philles in the 3rd round (103 overall).  He is BBNW’s top rated Class of 2009 Player, a former participate of our USA Baseball Junior Olympic Tournament team, and the past two year’s Washington Southwest Prospect Games and Northwest Championship Tournament. Kyrell signed to play football and baseball at Oregon State, but is expected to sign with the Phillies. Rounds 4-20 are scheduled for Wednesday and rounds 21-50 on Thursday.
